- Implementing cross-cutting educational programs for marginalized populations targeting effective communication, tolerance and cultural sensitivity, conflict management, HIV/AIDS awareness, leadership and entrepreneurship
- Establishing basic education, adult literacy, and workforce development training initiatives
- Fostering lifelong learning and advancement through cognitive, social and technical skills
- Developing curricula, through participatory approaches, to build on local customs and practices and equip learners with skills to address local development challenges

- Providing primary, secondary, and vocational education scholarships to marginalized populations including: women, girls, child laborers, HIV/AIDS orphans, street children, children of nomadic populations, the disabled, and representatives from ethnic or religious groups
- Designing and managing higher-education scholarship programs for women in agricultural and environmental disciplines
- Integrating community participation and ownership of scholar selection and monitoring
- Strengthening the capacity of local nongovernmental organizations, schools, and communities to identify vulnerable children, raise awareness and participation, and develop community-based educational solutions

- Combating exploitive child labor, human trafficking, and conflict through programs to improve economic opportunities through literacy and job skills training
- Supporting alternative and transitional education programs that address illiteracy and innumeracy through accelerated learning principles, partnered with practical job skills, leadership and life skills curricula to assist students' transition to more formal learning opportunities or gainful employment
- Developing customized internship and mentoring programs to ensure that the trainee has continued support while adapting to a new work or educational environment
