Jeni Sorensen, Winrock’s Director of Human Trafficking and Migration, is a human trafficking and gender specialist with 20 years of experience designing and managing programs to combat human trafficking in the U.S. and around the world. In this role, Sorensen leads the design of new counter-trafficking in persons (CTIP) and safe migration programs, provides oversight and support to staff in the field and home office, and ensures quality technical implementation of Winrock’s portfolio of CTIP and safe migration programs. She also directs Winrock’s John D. Rockefeller 3rd Scholars Program, which builds the capacity of multidisciplinary researchers in Asia to use research and evidence to inform policy. Sorensen is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a B.A. with Liberal Arts Honors in English and government, and Georgetown University, where she received an M.P.P. in International Policy and Development.
