Nancy Taggart is Winrock’s director of education, child labor and youth. Nancy has 20 years of experience designing and managing international education, youth workforce, and gender programs around the world. She previously served as senior youth and workforce advisor at USAID’s Education Office, where she provided technical guidance on youth and employment to USAID missions and departments; she also managed several of USAID’s flagship youth programs, including YouthPower and Youth Excel. Prior to USAID, she worked in a variety of technical and management roles with several nongovernmental organizations including Education Development Center, International Youth Foundation, and FHI360. Throughout her career, Nancy has been a thought leader on youth, women’s education and training and workforce development, devoted to building evidence and supporting organizational practices to strengthen program quality. She holds a master’s from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a bachelor’s in history from Northwestern University. She lives in Nyack, N.Y.
