Request for Application (RFA-001SA) AWEE

Winrock International (Winrock) has been implementing the Accelerating Women’s Empowerment in Energy (AWEE) program to tackle gender disparities within the energy sector labor force, particularly in Kenya and South Africa.

The primary goal of AWEE is to support the empowerment and professional development of women currently working or seeking to work in the clean energy sector to overcome historic gender-based marginalization and increase women’s participation in Kenya and South Africa’s clean energy sector.

The purpose of this Request for Application (RFA) is to invite applications in South Africa from potential grantees to collaborate with Winrock International (Winrock) in the implementation of the Accelerating Women’s Empowerment in Energy (AWEE), funded by United States Department of State, Bureau of Energy Resources (ENR) Award No. SAQMIP22CA0286.

Eligibility: Local South African organizations, including non-profit and for-profit non-US organizations, renewable energy companies, renewable energy associations, and non-profit organizations are strongly encouraged to apply.
