Winrock International calls on prospective grantees to submit applications to support in the implementation of the “Kazakhstan Actions against Trafficking in Children” (KATCH) Project, funded by the U.S. Department of State Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons
Priority regions of Kazakhstan: Turkistan, Qyzylorda, Almaty, Zhambyl, and Jetysu—and the cities of Almaty and Shymkent
The purpose of the micro-grants is to expand availability of support services for child TIP survivors and accompanying children of migrant laborers [ACML] in southern regions of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of subawards to “resource partners” identified from among expert counter-trafficking in persons and child protection non-governmental organizations in Kazakhstan is to strengthen local stakeholder capacity to assist child TiP survivors and ACML and advocate for improved child protection systems and procedures.
