Uzbekistan
Winrock has worked in Central Asia since the early 1990s to assist the development of the agricultural sector in the Uzbekistan and other former Soviet republics. These efforts include providing technical assistance through the Farmer-to-Farmer program and promoting market-driven production and private agribusiness development. In recent years, Winrock has worked to promote increased cooperation for natural resources management, assisted local organizations to effectively manage water systems, and worked with the Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries to combat trafficking in persons and promote safe migration.
