Liberia Energy Sector Support Program (LESSP) Summary

LESSP focuses on energy sector reform and regulation, renewable energy pilot projects, public-private partnerships, and capacity building of community, governmental and educational organizations. The goals are increased, sustainable access to affordable electricity for Liberia’s poor; improved performance of local governments, civil society and the private sector for monitoring, regulating and managing the use of renewable energy; increased percentage of households and businesses that use clean energy; and policy changes that improve Liberia’s energy investment climate.
