Winrock CEO interviews with The Astana Times at counter trafficking conference

Central Asian government agencies, and civil society partners working to combat trafficking in persons came together for a conference in Kazakhstan’s capital, Astana, July 27-28, to strengthen partnerships and share experiences and challenges.

Winrock International President and CEO Rodney Ferguson spoke with The Astana Times about key takeaways from the conference, efforts to combat trafficking in Kazakhstan, and the importance of partnerships and collaboration to counter trafficking in persons.

Winrock International works with various funders to combat human trafficking in Central Asia, specifically in Kazakhstan, including Safe Migration in Central Asia, funded by the United States Agency for International Development, and the Kazakhstan Actions Against Trafficking in Children, funded by the United States Department of State.
