Can Varol

Can Varol, Winrock’s chief finance & operations officer, has more than two decades of experience in global finance, compliance, contracting and operational leadership. As CFOO, Varol serves on Winrock’s executive leadership team and has a dual role providing oversight of both Winrock’s financial strategy and operational excellence. Prior to joining Winrock, Varol worked for 14 years at Chemonics International, where he served as chief financial officer; other key roles he held there included treasurer, director of finance and compliance review, and deputy chief of party for operations in Turkey. Prior to his tenure at Chemonics, Varol held senior roles at Booz Allen Hamilton and the American Bar Association’s Rule of Law Initiative. His areas of expertise include capital structure and treasury management, financial planning and analysis, compliance and enterprise systems implementation. Varol has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the College of William & Mary and an MBA from George Washington University, and is based in the Washington, D.C. area.
