Jeffrey Apigian

Director, Agriculture, Resilience & Water

Jeffrey Apigian is a director in Winrock’s Agriculture, Resilience & Water group. He has more than 15 years of experience in the design and implementation of market-based solutions to complex agriculture and natural resource management challenges globally, including more than 10 years supporting Winrock’s agriculture and food security programming in Nepal. His technical expertise includes private sector engagement, market systems development and climate resilient agriculture. He currently manages a portfolio of donor-funded agricultural development projects valued at more than $100 million and has experience working on USAID and USDA-funded activities in Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Indonesia. Prior to joining Winrock, Apigian worked with local organizations in Nepal to document community-based approaches to water resource management. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bates College and a master’s in environmental science from Clark University’s Department of Sustainability and Social Justice. He is a native English speaker and is fluent in Nepali.
