Jeffrey Apigian

Jeffrey Apigian is portfolio director of Winrock’s Agriculture group. He has more than 20 years of experience in the design and implementation of market-based solutions to complex agriculture and natural resource management challenges globally, including more than 10 years supporting Winrock’s agriculture and food security programming in Nepal. His technical expertise includes private sector engagement, market systems strengthening, and regenerative agriculture. He has managed large-scale, donor-funded agricultural development projects and activities in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal and Pakistan. Prior to joining Winrock, Apigian worked with local organizations in Nepal to document community-based approaches to water resource management. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology from Bates College and a master’s in environmental science from Clark University’s Department of Sustainability and Social Justice. He is a native English speaker and is fluent in Nepali.
