Winrock International names Joyjit Deb Roy Senior Director of Agriculture and Enterprise

Winrock International is pleased to announce that Joyjit Deb Roy has been named Senior Director of Winrock’s Agriculture and Enterprise Group, to support the organization’s work promoting economic opportunities for smallholder farmers, communities and agricultural enterprises.

Prior to joining Winrock, Deb Roy was Managing Director for Project Management at ACDI/VOCA, where he supported global projects focused on initiatives such as agribusiness, enterprise development, climate change and food security.

Previously, Deb Roy worked as an economist for The Louis Berger Group, where he completed an analysis to identify supply-chain and policy impediments to the growth of agribusiness in Bangladesh. He also managed the Africa and Asia practice for the CARANA Corporation, an economic development and business management consulting firm.

Deb Roy earned his master’s degree from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University in public administration, with a specialization in international economics and public finance. He also completed his master’s in history from Delhi University in India.
