Suzanne E. Siskel

Suzanne E. Siskel is the former executive vice president and chief operating officer of The Asia Foundation. A social anthropologist and experienced nonprofit leader, she brings more than four decades of expertise in international development, philanthropy and social justice. Siskel previously held senior leadership roles at the Ford Foundation, including global director of Social Justice Philanthropy and representative in Indonesia and the Philippines. She began her career in Indonesia as a Luce Scholar in 1974 and later returned as a Fulbright scholar, development advisor and philanthropic leader.
Siskel serves on the boards of the CMB Foundation, the Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation, UBS-Optimus Foundation, Battery Powered Foundation, the Orchestra of the Americas Group, Friends of Fondation de France, Gamelan Sekar Jaya, and Vicente Canyon Hillside Foundation, and is a member of the Senior Advisory Council of the United Religions Initiative. Siskel holds degrees in anthropology from Harvard University and The Johns Hopkins University. She rejoined Winrock’s Board of Directors in 2025, having previously served from 2013 to 2018.
