Elizabeth Gomez

Elizabeth Gomez, associate director of U.S. Programs at Winrock International, leads initiatives focused on rural transformation and systems change. Her work strengthens local leadership, organizations, partnerships and implementation capacity, helping rural communities attract investment, sustain progress and build resilience to economic and climate shocks. Gomez brings more than 18 years of professional and community leadership experience spanning healthcare, education, family services and community development. She connects strategy, funding, evidence and implementation, working alongside community leaders and experienced partners to translate local priorities into coordinated action. Previously, she directed statewide federal education grants at the Arkansas Department of Education. She holds a graduate certificate in project management from Harvard Extension School, a certificate in education finance from Georgetown University, a master’s in professional counseling, and a bachelor’s in bioanalysis from the Central University of Venezuela. Originally from Venezuela, she proudly calls Arkansas home.
