Winrock is a tax-exempt 501c(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering the disadvantaged, increasing economic opportunity, and sustaining natural resources through innovative, evidence-based solutions. We work in the U.S. and globally to address challenges in sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, clean energy, human rights, and economic development, partnering with communities, governments and the private sector to create lasting impact.
As a registered nonprofit, we rely on funding from donors, grants and partnerships to drive impact and innovation. The 501c(3) designation applies to organizations that operate for charitable, educational, scientific, or other nonprofit purposes and ensures that donations are tax-deductible for donors. It also means we must follow strict guidelines, including not engaging in partisan political activities and ensuring funds are used for our mission.
