Statement by Winrock President & CEO Rodney Ferguson Regarding Global Climate Strike
Winrock International supports the global climate strikes planned in tens of thousands of schools around the world this month. As a nonprofit international development organization with 150 projects across the globe — many of them promoting resilient agriculture and safeguarding critical ecosystems — we know that climate change is a defining challenge of our age. An essential part of Winrock’s mission is to sustain natural resources and provide innovative solutions to a variety of ecological challenges. Just as we publicly pledged to uphold the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement, so now we stand behind the youth of our world, who do us all proud as they stand up and fight for this Earth that we love.
