Knowledge Exchange for Making Solar Water Pumping (SWP) Systems Affordable to Small Farmers

Project Title: Knowledge Exchange for Solar Water Pumping

This project works with Nepal Agricultural Cooperative Central Federation Ltd. (NACCFL) to develop the capacity and enhance the knowledge of five rural municipalities, eight Small Farmers Agriculture Cooperatives Ltd. (SFACLs) and farmers on solar irrigation through knowledge exchange and live demonstrations. By developing a network of SFACLs, rural municipalities and SWP suppliers, the project aims to accelerate the commercial market for solar irrigation. A future scale-up phase aims to spread this knowledge throughout the cooperatives in Nepal, which serve 1.25 million smallholder farmers.
