Edna Cruz
Chief People Officer
Edna Cruz is Winrock’s chief people officer with the People and Culture unit. Cruz has over 20 years of experience in the field of human resources in driving positive change through people strategies, utilizing her expertise in the areas of organization development, change management, talent development, programs, policies and employee engagement. She has experience working for both private sector and nonprofit humanitarian organizations, including the American Red Cross, where she served for nine years, most recently as Vice President of Human Resources for the Biomedical Services Group. Prior to joining the American Red Cross, Cruz spent 11 years at CSC (Computer Services Corporation), where she was able to influence positive developmental change in all areas of the business. Cruz is an exceptional human resources partner, leader and contributor to business operations. She is a strong strategic thinker who has been sought after to work on and execute large strategic people-change initiatives. She has a deep understanding of how employee engagement affects all aspects of an organization’s effectiveness and appreciates the importance of solid policies, strong collaboration and clear communications to effectuate change through all levels of an organization. Cruz is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources. She is fluent in Spanish.
