Senior Director, Private Sector Engagement

Steven Brunn is Winrock’s senior director of private sector engagement, where he works across the organization to integrate private‑sector partners into work that expands the scale, durability and sustainability of Winrock’s impact. He helps teams design partnerships that align business incentives with development outcomes by strengthening supply chains, advancing responsible sourcing and mobilizing private capital in ways that deliver value for communities, companies and donors alike.

Brunn works with businesses, funders and governments to develop practical and cost-efficient solutions that deliver against sustainability, development and economic goals.  He brings deep experience in global supply chains, sustainability and responsible business practices, with a background spanning human rights, labor standards, environmental performance and growth strategy. Brunn has worked closely with companies, academic institutions and civil society partners to drive measurable improvements across complex, multinational operating environments in countries including Bangladesh, Cambodia, China, Guatemala, India, Indonesia, Poland, Thailand and Turkmenistan. He holds an MBA from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.
