BC/TIP Country Overview

Winrock International, along with local partners DAM, Agrogoti Sangstha, BSHER, NONGOR, BITA, RDRS, Proyas, Sachetan, YPSA, Rights Jessore, OKUP, Aid Comilla, collaborate with national and local stakeholders to implement BC/TIP in Bangladesh.

Bangladesh

To support the Government of Bangladesh in the implementation of the National Plan of Action (NPA) for Prevention and Suppression of Human Trafficking 2018-2022 and recommendations highlighted by the 2020 DOS TIP Report BC/TIP collaborates with the Ministry of Home Affairs; the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Department; the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs; the Ministry of Social Welfare; the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs; the Ministry of Youth and Sports; the Office of the Refugee Relief and Repatriation Commissioner; the District Education and Manpower Office, Department of Youth Development; and the Department of Social Services; the Judicial Administration Training Institute; National Legal Aid Services Organization, the Deputy Inspector General and the Inspector General Police; CTC and the PCMC committees; divisional, district, upazila, sub-upazila government, community, and civil society organizations; with Peer and Youth Leaders, ANIRBAN, and international organizations to implement BC/TIPs activities.
