Rob Jones

Director of Global Safety and Security Rob Jones has over 20 years of experience in global security risk and travel management. Before joining Winrock, he was the global director at Global Oversight LLC, delivering security support to several international nongovernmental organizations. Jones has experience developing and implementing physical risk and travel management strategies, including cutting-edge software to mitigate active risk. In his previous role as a headquarters regional security risk manager for Creative Associates International, he delivered global risk management training and designed threat assessments for standardized use around the world in accordance with USAID and international donor contractual requirements. Jones is also a former risk manager and close protection operative who has worked in many active war zones for the U.S. Department of Defense and USAID implementing partners. He has a diploma in remote medicine from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and several security qualifications including close protection and security risk management from Ronin Concepts in Hereford, England.
