Practitioners’ Guide to Supporting Survivor Groups: Based On Learnings From Bangladesh
In recent years, survivor engagement has become a key focus in counter trafficking-in-persons (CTIP) projects, spurred by influential donors like USAID. Drawing from participatory action research (PAR) with ANIRBAN, a survivor-led group in Bangladesh, this guide offers critical insights into the complex reality of working with survivors’ groups. It provides strategies for NGOs to support survivor groups, based on principles grounded in survivor perspectives, and potential challenges as encountered during the PAR. The guide offers concrete, research-based guidance for building more equitable and impactful partnerships with survivors’ groups.
