Climate Resilient Ecosystems and Livelihoods (CREL)

project

Climate change and a growing population are putting increasing levels of stress on Bangladesh’s forests, wetlands and other ecosystems. The USAID-funded Climate Resilient Ecosystems and Livelihoods program is helping to disseminate management methods that help communities better collaborate with local and national governments to balance biodiversity protection with sustainable economic development.

The Agriculture, Resilience & Water group partners with rural communities, businesses and local leaders to develop market-oriented, climate-smart solutions at scale that increase food production and profitability, expand market access, conserve natural resources and build resilient livelihoods.

Environment

The Environment group supports healthy natural environments by developing and implementing solutions to protect natural resources, enhance ecosystem services, and scale access to clean energy. We partner with communities, governments, civil society and the private sector to strengthen local capacity, facilitate market-based innovations and mobilize green finance.
